Aik Beng Chia

Aik Beng Chia, known as ABC, is a successful local Singaporean photographer since 2008. His photographs of the daily lives of people on the streets are really fantastic until caught attention of UK newspaper. He learned to take pictures without people noticing which works well and useful especially when he was shooting street photography. Here are some of his photographs:

I like all of his photo because he knows how to make it looks dramatic by converting all the colours into black and white. He took some photos of elderly and it gives me inspiration since for the project 3 I’m choosing elderly as my subject. He shot from many different angle with different camera shot angle without people noticing him. I learned that in taking pictures, it shouldn’t be boring by taking from the same camera shot angle, but I need to consider from different angle, which part that I want to emphasize, and does the framing is right for me to tell the story that I want to convey.
